The first step you need to do is Download the latest MIUI ROM . Next go to settings and select on cellphone , then tap system update . Next click 3 dots which is in the top right corner. Tap select update package and select file .Now there will be a choice of SD card and internal storage. Select the latest MIUI ROM file that was downloaded earlier then click the OK button below. Lastly select delete and update .
2. How to Update MIUI via TWRP
Meanwhile for the second method you can also use TWRP which is a custom recovery, apart from installing a custom ROM, TWRP can also be used to update manually. The update process via TWRP uses the same MIUI ROM as via the updater.
First you need to download the latest version of the MIUI ROM and to get it please click here. Next, turn off your Xiaomi cellphone first. Then press the Volume Up button and Power , hold for a moment and release. IN TWRP select the Wipe then menu Swipe to Factory Reset . 3. How to Update MIUI Via FastBoot
Well guys, apart from the two methods above, you can also use this method to update MIUI on your Xiaomi cellphone. However, for this method you have to use a computer or laptop to carry out the latest MIUI update. And here are the steps.
The first step you need to do is download the latest Xiaomi FastBoot Firmware here. Please choose according to the series of your Xiaomi cellphone. Next you also have to download Mi Flash Tool . After that, turn off the Xiaomi cellphone you have then press the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously and hold them until you enter FastBoot Mode. Then run the Mi Flash Tool and click the Select button and select the Firmware FastBoot folder that you have extracted on the C drive.
